Exceptional capability, assembled around the outcome
Exceptional People is a specialist change and transformation consultancy. We help organisations shape complex programmes and mobilise the leadership, specialist expertise and carefully constructed teams needed to move them forward.
A different model
Organisations have traditionally faced a choice between engaging individual contractors or appointing a large consultancy. We provide a more flexible and commercially intelligent alternative. Our clients can access consultancy-calibre expertise without inheriting a predetermined resource pool, unnecessary management layers or a methodology designed around the consultancy rather than the organisation. And, because we are not tied to a particular technology vendor or internal bench, each engagement can be constructed around the specific challenge and the desired outcome, using a full squad of 'A-team' players. That's uncommon.
Our work spans ERP and CRM transformation, cloud, Data and AI, cyber security, architecture, quality engineering and wider business change. We operate primarily across Financial Services, Higher Education, Legal, Retail and Manufacturing.
A typical engagement might involve shaping a requirement, mobilising leadership, assembling a multidisciplinary team around a Statement of Work or strengthening a programme with a specific area of expertise. Whether the need is for one person or an entire team, we apply the same considered and evidence-led approach.
How we work
Every engagement begins with understanding the business context. We examine what the organisation is trying to achieve, the capability it already has, the obstacles it faces and the outcome against which success will be judged. We will challenge an unclear brief, identify gaps and give an honest view of what is realistically required.
Because all of our delivery specialists developed ther careers within tier-one consultancies, systems integrators or complex end-user organisations you can be sure that you're in more than just safe hands. Technical credentials matter, but so do judgement, integrity, communication and the ability to operate effectively within a given client’s unique culture.
We remain deliberately selective about the work we undertake and the people we represent. This allows us to stay close to every engagement and provide the senior attention, discretion and accountability that complex transformation demands.
Above all else, we believe in excellence. We’re passionate about being the best, delivering the best service and working with the very best companies & people. For us, it’s not enough to meet expectations; we strive to deliver a service which consistently goes beyond what’s expected.
We believe in respect for everyone; ourselves and you, our customers. Without you we are nothing. We especially respect your unique qualities; the things which make you what you are, the things which have brought you success.
We firmly believe in what we do; in the quality of our services and people, and the benefits which they deliver. Belief isn't to be mistaken for arrogance, though it does give us a self-awareness and sure-footedness to work with others in a highly efficient way, and a confidence in what we do.
Honesty underpins everything we do. You deserve it and need it if you are to depend on us, our advice and our services. It's being honest which enables us to form close and trusting partnerships and deliver the best value we can.
We become better by always striving to achieve more. A great business doesn't plod along; it is propelled by its own momentum. It doesn't just have happy customers, it has delighted customers. These things come from a culture where supporting others, stretching your own skills and the skills of those around you engenders continual improvement.
Above all else, we believe in excellence. We're passionate about being the best, delivering the best service and working with the very best companies and people. For us, it's not enough to meet expectations; we strive to deliver a service which consistently goes beyond what's expected.
